Group Volunteering: Workplace/School/Organization/Groups

text to speech

We know our hours of operation present a challenge for those of you who would love to volunteer at Oak Table, but have other responsibilities during the day. We have a solution to your problem that might just make it possible for you to come down and experience a hearty welcome, learn about the challenges our guests live with, and have some fun! We have a volunteer, who along with our Volunteer Coordinator, will help you arrange your visit, and find your group a meaningful role to fulfill.

Our best times for groups to volunteer are typically Wednesday's and Special Event Days, but we can make adjustments to fit your schedule. You can provide lunch, serve lunch, process food, cook food, engage with our guests, create a theme day for your visit; clean, sort, offer your skills at fixing, maintaining our space; serve in the drop-in; participate in group games or individual games with guests; participate in a poverty simulation; and much more!

Groups that come to Oak Table are all ages, from families, churches, work places, schools, organizations - if you have a group, we have things you can do!
