Jack Cameron – Basic Humanity

iSpeech.org
Despite our individual differences, we are all equal in terms of our basic humanity.  This is most evident, to me, whenever I am at Oak Table and I witness the inter-change between staff and visitors, volunteers and visitors, or amongst our visitors them selves.

Someone is challenged physically and not very mobile--someone, either volunteer or another visitor tends to his/her needs; someone else needs help of a personal matter--those are looked after usually by staff or volunteers.

Whatever the reason people are availing themselves of the services offered by Oak Table, one thing everyone can be assured of, and that is, when they walk through our doors they will be treated with love, respect and empathy.  Jack Cameron
